Conversion of agricultural residues into valuable products has become an important study in the industry. Generally, they are made up lignocellulose biomass which requires a particular method such as pretreatment to enhance desired yield produce end product. However, pumpkin is commercialized very little way Malaysia, and their processing generates tons seeds peels byproducts. Not mention fact that wastes have many beneficial nutrients dry matter can be utilized ways. Pumpkin peel particularly rich glucose content converted through several main steps bioethanol production; pretreatment, enzymatic saccharification, fermentation usually uses fungi obtain fermentable sugar followed by distillation. Furthermore, bioactive compounds carbohydrate, protein, minerals, fatty acid significant value on antioxidant like tocopherol, phenols carotenes also found seed. On top that, contain quite amount pectin extracted hydrolysis great potential gelling agents thickeners food industry alternative source from commercial pectin. These proven usage residuals not only it provide good benefits human, fact, various produced cheaper sustainable way.
